Heritage Day 2023

We held our third Heritage day on Sunday, the 21st of May 2023, between 10am and 4pm in Heathfield Hall.
We had set out all the photo albums in the main hall and the foyer. There was a slideshow running constantly with a seating area. There were plenty of refreshments for people to enjoy. The brownies and the scouts set up areas for people to take a special interest in. Outside, the old Heathfield gates were there for people to admire and take photos of. Visitors came along to browse the albums and watch the slideshow and ask questions. They also brought photos for us to ponder over and see if we could recognise any of the people in the photos.
it was a wonderful village event and a good amount of people came, but we would love to reach out to more people for them to share in the history of this lovely village
The photo below are the publications that we sell, and there are more pictures of the event at the bottom of this page.

HERITAGE DAY 2015

October 3rd saw our second Heritage Day. It took place at Heathfield Centre and many items  of yesteryear were  displayed. Peter Tilcock exhibited much of his 50s/60s collection and much of the Caddhist photo archive and records were on show including a loop of old caddington stills projected on screen. A “treasure hunt” was featured  and a “cafe” selling coffee and cakes proved very popular. The popularity of the event was proved by the amount of time many people spent poring over historical Caddington
